FAQs

How do I wash my Montane synthetic insulated Jacket?
Wash at 30°C or 40°C (check the garment care label) on a gentle machine cycle with a non-biological detergent (without a built-in fabric softener) ensuring all zips and hook and loop sections are fastened. After the detergent wash place on an additional rinse cycle. Drip dry. Some synthetic insulated jackets and garments can be tumble dried, please refer to the care label on your product. Montane does not recommend that you dry clean or bleach your synthetic insulation clothing.

How do I care for my synthetic insulated jacket?
Some synthetics are treated with a DWR to help shed light rain showers. If you think this needs rejuvenating, you can spray the outside of the jacket with a reputable DWR re-proofer when wet, after washing. Make sure your garment is fully clean before doing so. Once applied, dry according to care label instructions.

How do I wash my Montane Primaloft Thermplume Jacket?
Wash separately at 30°C on a gentle machine wash cycle with a small amount of non-biological laundry detergent placed inside the drum prior to starting. Do not use fabric softeners. Ensure all zips and fasteners are closed. An additional rinse cycle is recommended to ensure the jacket is free from detergent.

How do I rejuvenate the loft of the Primaloft Thermoplume in my Montane Jacket?
To rejuvenate the loft of the Primaloft Thermoplume in your jacket it is essential that it is tumble dried. Tumble dry on a low heat setting, inserting drier balls or clean tennis balls into the drier to aid even drying and prevent the insulation from clumping. Once the jacket begins to dry it will start to loft again, at which stage the garment can be very gently shaken to agitate and redistribute the insulation. Continue to tumble dry at 15 minute intervals until the insulation is dry. Line drying is not recommended for best performance, and do not dry clean or use bleach.

How should I store my Primaloft Theromplume Montane Jacket?
To maintain the loft, Montane recommends that you store your insulated garments loose and not stuffed in a pocket or drybag.
