MONTANE YUKON ARCTIC ULTRA KIT ESSENTIALS
The Yukon arctic is a hostile place. Its tundra stretches for hundreds of barely populated miles over frozen lakes, mountains, and alpine forests. When snow isn't falling heavily from the skies it is piling heavily in deep drifts, slowing progress. Temperatures can drop as low as -50°c.
Competitors must be able to operate in such conditions whilst towing a heavy pulk behind them. It is exhausting work, sweat freezes in the numbing cold, with hypothermia or frostbite very real considerations if layer management is not expertly managed.
A down layer specifically designed for layering in extreme cold conditions. Its HyperDRY 800+ down will keep you warm, yet pack down well in your pulk. Pockets are easily accessible, and a 2-way zip allows easy access to harness straps.
A refined and modernised reinterpretation of our classic Extreme Smock, the Hydrogen Extreme is warm, robust, and versatile. Its useful front pockets and side vents allow it to be worn at all times regardless of work levels.
Primino's blend of Merino wool and PRIMALOFT fibres retains the positive qualities of each. This makes a high-wicking, odour-resistant and generally resilient garment. Available in a variety of styles and weights for a range of sensitivities.

these are ideal for the high output required for the MYAU. Lightweight and fast drying, yet warm and comfortable, they also incorporate intuitive storage features for easier self-management whilst on the trail.
