I thought I'd nailed it with these gloves, they are really warm and with a little testing at home under a tap, they appear waterproof. After using regularly this winter, they seem to maintain the water repellancy for a couple of hours when walking in rainy conditions. After which they start to absorb water and become saturated. On a recent snowy hike over the southern pennines with some scrambling, they again became saturated after touching icy surfaces. These gloves are really warm and suitable for short exposure to rain, but no more.

I'f you want warm, windproof gloves with a little water resistance, then the Tundra gloves might work for you.

I've switched to Montane's Ice Grip Gloves which I've given a 5* review for as those have remained dry after 8hrs of walking in the rain and similar snowy conditions to when I used the Tundra gloves.

On first impressions these gloves were not very warm. I wore them for about 20 minutes at 0 degrees and one of my hands was cold at the end of the walk.
