"Although we'd never done a race before, I begged my friends to enter (the Mont Blanc Marathon) as it sounded awesome!"
Jenn Gaskell combines her burgeoning career as a mathematical physicist with her love of running, climbing and adventure. For several years she has been busy working to complete her mathematical physics PhD, at the University of Nottingham, whilst quietly nurturing an impressive back catalogue of ultra races across Europe.
Jen’s adventurous and spontaneous nature saw her enter her first race, a mountain marathon in Chamonix with over 2500m of ascent, on a whim as she happened to be in the area on a mountaineering trip and decided to give it a go. The gamble paid off as Jenn now regularly competes on the British and European ultra-trail running scene as well as seeking out any far flung adventure.
