Alpine Spirit Review

The Alpine Spirit is a serious workhorse of a jacket. Built for uncompromising abuse and long, tough days, it is rugged and uncomplicated. Fitting then that it is named after Montane Athlete Becky Coles’ project to be the first all-female team to summit all Alpine 4000ers. An outstandingly well-designed jacket. Pac Plus Review

Montane ambassador Kat reflects on a year spent with her Pac Plus, putting it through its paces as she runs, climbs, and fastpacks around her home in Snowdownia National Park. This updated interpretation on quite an old-school 2-layer construction creates a lightweight super breathable shell system. Couple it with a tough 30D outer and a suite of intuitively placed features and you are left with a well-considered,... Read More

Minimus Stretch Ultra Jacket ‘Most Flexible’ in Backpacker Gear Test

Our Minimus Stretch Ultra Jacket rose above 145 other products to be awarded the title of ‘Most Flexible’ in Backpacker Magazine’s Gear Guide this month. The jacket was put through its paces by testers in a variety of scenarios in a variety of environments, from navigating boulders in Colorado’s Indian Peaks Wilderness, to scaling the cliffs of Australia’s Murramarang National Park.  A particular hit with testers were the Minimus Stretch’s cuffs, which extend over the backs of the hands for extra drip protection, with one particularly long-armed tester remarking ‘No...
