Jen Scotney Vlog 5 – October Training

October saw Jen complete over 44,000ft of ascent in 251miles of training for the Montane Spine Challenger Race in January. Wet and windy conditions can’t stop the determined Jen smashing out some great runs, highlights include: Edale Skyline (plus extra miles on Win Hill) Recce run 24miles of the Dark Peak 30 Dark Peaks 30 Ultra (4th Female) Jen Scotney is a Montane Ambassador. From the Archive – First ascent: Mt Gangstang’s North West ridge

Back in 2016 Team Montane climber Malcolm Bass and climbing partner Guy Buckingham made the first ascent of the beautiful NW Ridge of Gangstang in the Himachal Pradesh Himalaya. They reached the summit on the 9 June 2016 and descended to base camp the next day completing a five-day round trip. Outdoor Enthusiast‘s Winter 2017 issue contains some exciting news for our men’s and women’s Alpine Equaliser Jackets.   In a softshell jackets round-up, the Alpine Equaliser Jacket won three out of four possible awards.
